Worship is the primary calling of all Christians. For many of us, that just means turning up, which is all any of us needs to do. However, there are many people in our churches who feel called to take a particular responsibility in helping to facilitate the worship of the people of God. If you’d like to join in, we’d love to have you. Most roles in a service are done on a rota basis, so you are unlikely to be called on too often.

I’m interested in volunteering

There is information further down the page explaining each role. Please fill in the form below or speak to a Church Warden for more information.

About the various roles

A server assists the priest by carrying the cross, setting up communion, and tidying the altar post-service. It’s ideal if you prefer a visible role without speaking this might be just the thing for you.

Would you like to read a Scripture lesson on Sunday at 10:30am? Readers are always needed and it’s an easy way to get more involved without requiring a large investment of time.

Members of the congregation are involved in leading the prayers of intercession every Sunday morning at the 10.30am service. Advice and guidance is given.

Our churches aim to warmly welcome everyone. Sidespeople greet worshipers at the door. Join us in this vital role; we seek friendly volunteers willing to give a bit of time.

If you do not want to make a public appearance, but want to help behind the scenes you can help to clean our beautiful church.
